Lpc supervision & professional consultation

As an educator and supervisor, I'm dedicated to nurturing the next generation of skilled counselors through relationally focused supportive supervision. Supervision sessions offer a collaborative environment where LPC-Associates can develop their clinical skills, deepen their therapeutic insight, and build confidence in their practice. sessions emphasize ethical standards, effective interventions, and a strong therapeutic alliance, ensuring you’re equipped to handle complex client scenarios.

We will first meet for a free 30-minute consultation call to get to know each deeper and set expectations. This is where I can answer any questions and share more about my supervision style and background experiene. Once we form a supervisory relationship, I tailor our sessions to meet your unique needs and goals. I provide constructive feedback, case consultation, and a safe space for reflection to help you navigate challenges and refine your approach. With a focus on professional development and personal growth, my goal is to support your journey toward becoming a multiculturally competent, compassionate, and effective counselor. It would be an honor to walk alongside you on your journey to licensure and lasting career success.

I understand the unique challenges women face when dealing with anxiety and perfectionism. The overwhelming pressure to meet societal standards can be suffocating. The high expectations we place on ourselves, experiencing stress, and challenges with reigning in our brains from going to the worst case scenario. Our work together will center on empowering you to rewrite the narratives of self-doubt and replace them with affirming beliefs that honor your worthiness.

Learning to accept your body and build a more health relationship with food can be really effing hard. Every
woman deserves to feel confident and empowered in her own skin. Our bodies change over time - through adulthood, pregnancy, aging, and that's normal. Our work together is navigating the struggles that come with feeling trapped in a cycle of negative thoughts and behaviors, and reclaim your authentic beauty.

Let's be real...relationships aren't easy. They take intention, communication, and doing small things often. In couples therapy, you'll be guided through meaningful conversations to better understand the barriers that prevent you from feeling close. We'll dive into processing past unhealed injuries and learn new ways of communicating and showing love. You'll develop skills to deepen your intimacy and manage conflict more effectively.

trauma

Sometimes traumatic events and distressing life experiences can cause thoughts, beliefs, images,  emotions, and physical sensations to persist long after the threat has passed. It can keep us from having the mental space for other things. I utilize
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which is an evidence-based treatment for trauma and other mental health symptoms like anxiety, depression, and grief/loss. Rather than focus on changing the thoughts or behaviors resulting from the distressing event, EMDR allows your brain to resume its natural healing process & resolve unprocessed memories.

The sandtray is a *literal* blank canvas. It allows you to access your unconscious and bring it forward into the here-and-now so we can process it in session. The miniatures and figurines help to represent what's going on in your inner world. By utilizing sandtray and other expressive activities (art, music, games, etc.), we can create the landscapes of our internal experience and allow space for our *little us* to come out and play. This creates a healthy distance so we can process difficult experiences and cultivate empowerment so you can start to heal.

Consultation sessions are designed to support mental health professionals in navigating complex cases, enhancing therapeutic skills, and expanding their clinical perspectives. Whether you’re a seasoned therapist or early in your career, I create a collaborative space where we can discuss challenging cases, explore new approaches, and receive valuable insights.

I bring a decade of experience across diverse populations, treatment settings, and therapeutic modalities. I emphasize ethical considerations, integrative approaches and helping you make informed & compassionate choices in your work with clients. I tailor each session to your specific needs, providing constructive feedback and fresh perspectives to ensure you're well-prepared to address your clients' unique challenges. My goal is to empower you with the tools and support needed to excel in your practice and make a meaningful impact.
