When we have experienced trauma or emotional woundings, it disconnects us from our bodies. When this occurs, we learn to protect ourselves (aka we stuff down our feelings). I get it, feelings can be scary. My job is to help you discover and reconnect with the parts of you that have been tucked away, helping you to feel more whole and integrated. I'm here to empower you as you uncover the things that are no longer serving you.
I’ve been told in session that I’m like the Blue Caterpillar (fun fact: I'm obsessed with Alice in Wonderland). Direct, always curious, and asking just the right questions. And while we may not end up in Wonderland...we definitely will explore down the rabbit hole together. I am here to hold space for you to feel safe and accepted as we navigate together on your unique path of self discovery.
I consider myself just the right balance of “woo woo” and realist. I bring warmth, humor, and a no-BS approach to the therapy space. Every person is worthy and deserving of reaching their fullest potential - including you. My goal as a therapist and reiki healer is to assist you in uncovering and bring what's in your unconscious to the surface, so you can gain a deeper understanding of yourself and build the life you want.

Our thoughts hold a lot of power. Negative self talk, imposter syndrome, and unrealistic perfectionistic tendencies can leave us feeling like we're not enough and fearful of fulfilling our dreams. That loud inner critic, the indecision, and lack of self-trust interfere with accessing your authentic self. It leaves little room for the things you love - your confidence, friendships, and your relationship… all of them are impacted by the narrative in your brain. You can regain your freedom and build the life you want.
My goal for our work together is to help you understand what's keeping you stuck, and to learn strategies to build trust and confidence in yourself. Therapy can be a transformative experience, where we begin to challenge ourselves to grow, and while not always easy, it allows you to connect with yourself and live within your values. My commitment is to provide a balance of supporting you while challenging you to make positive and sustainable changes for yourself.

I feel safe/secure in my therapy/client relationship with Ametis. I have been In therapy more than 10 yrs and last 3 yrs with Ametis, I have made more progress in my mental/emotional health. Ametis, you are a God-send.
We love Ametis. She is exactly the person we needed to help manage our situation. With her help and guidance, we truly feel stronger as a couple. She has been a blessing, especially through the craziness the epidemic has thrown at us.
Sessions are going very well with Ametis. I like her ability to create a comfortable and open environment. She is a great conversation starter, and it’s easy to express ourselves about anything. Ametis is very welcoming and a great listener.
Ametis always summarizes what I’m saying to make sure she understands me and it makes me feel like she really is listening and cares. I have processed trauma from my childhood and am improving with trust in my relationship.
The sessions were rough at first, but Ametis was able to get us taking and comfortable with each other. We’ve gained better communication skills and aren’t holding in emotions anymore.
Ametis was incredibly warm and able to build rapport quickly with both me and my husband.
The evil eye has been found in history for thousands of years across cultures. The eye is used to ward off variations of evil intentions or ill-will.
Anybody can wear the evil eye for protection, regardless of spiritual affiliation. It is a reminder that you are loved and protected in all areas of your life.
